WHAT IS FAITH?

Imagine this parallel. A car engine generates so much force and torque. When you start a car engine and fire it up, the engine revs and screams with so much power, but because the gear hasn’t been engaged, all that power does nothing to move the car forward, it just goes to make the engine scream.

To transmit the power of the engine into motion, the torque in the engine has to be channeled to the tyres through the gear wheels. We move the gear from ‘neutral’ into ‘drive’, then the power in the engine begins to act on the tyres, moving the car forward.

The gear of a car does exactly what faith does in a man. The Spirit of God is the engine of life, it generates or communicates the wisdom or knowledge of God comparable to the torque or power of a car engine. In prayer and meditation, we fire up this engine, it revs within us with so much power, but until we engage faith, all that power does nothing, no movement is recorded.

Faith is the gear of life, faith is, to give your being(thought, emotion, words and actions) to the wisdom and knowledge of God ministered in your spirit by the Spirit of God. To give your being, I mean releasing yourself to it. If it says walk on water, you step out unto the water without fear. If it says point your right finger to that man sitting in a wheel chair and say, “get up and come here”, you do it without arguing the man’s condition in your mind.

In God, seeing isn’t believing, believing is seeing. So, we have the eyes of faith, and what we see with it is what is real. Yeah that’s right! When Jesus says that if your eyes be good, then your whole body will be full of light, He means that, if your faith is engaged to the right engine, which is the Spirit of God, and you are receiving the knowledge of God mixing it with faith, then that light shall saturate and be manifested through your life. The glory of God shall be seen upon you. You shall shine with the glory of God. The appearance of God shall be transmitted via your life. You shall be the visible manifestation of an invisible God, just as the performance of a car whose gear is engaged demonstrates the power of the engine within it.

Simply put, faith is acting like what you know about God is also true about you. AND YES, IT IS! You are made in His image.

Your life is so exciting. You’re blessed!

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 58)

There are two important issues arising from “Part 57” of our conversation, which I posted on Friday. We are meant to discuss these issues in detail in another series, but for the sake of clarity, with regards to our current conversation, we will mention a few things about them before we continue our conversation on meditation.

We mentioned that the human spirit has ‘creative ability’. Now, I would like to point out that it only seems that way, but it is really something else. When a woman gives birth, it seems the couple has just created another human being, but actually, what they did was to reproduce what has been. And this is really what the human spirit does, it reproduces things that already are. That is the law of seed time and harvest.

The writer of Ecclesiastes says that there is nothing new under the sun. What that means is this; whatever you see happen today, is only an offspring of something that has been in existence, it just keeps reproducing itself. God rested from the pure creative work after the sixth day, after that, creation by reproduction took off, and that is man’s responsibility, for he was told to multiply. So, when the spirit realm uses words to get the human spirit pregnant, realise that those words are seeds of what has been already created. This knowledge will be especially useful when we begin to discuss the doctrine of baptisms in detail.

Secondly, we said, “whatever any other source tries to build in creation will always be demolished to give way for what’s in the original blueprint, and whatever is built with fake ‘materials’ will crumble, because it cannot withstand the same kind of storms, adversities and shakings that the original ‘material’ can.” If we remember the parable of the sower, we will remember that for every seed that germinates, a compulsory testing comes on it, just like it says here, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss;…. (I Corinthians 3:11-15 NKJV)

Listen very carefully, whenever there is a shaking in your life, be happy, be jumping up in thanksgiving, it is God that has come to make sure that whatever is happening in your life is according to His will. That is the angel stirring the water, jump in, don’t run away. That is the Master of the house back from His trip, He has come to settle accounts with those He gave the earth to occupy till He returns. As a child of God who has been trading with the goods of your Master, which means living in His will and acting in accordance with His words, you don’t have anything to fear. In all things, give thanks, for that is the will of God for you. Don’t get bitter, don’t get depressed, don’t start a fight, just give thanks, keep rejoicing till it’s over, otherwise, you will miss what God is about to do.

This is exactly what you should do, three things.
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15, 16 NKJV)”

(1) Enter into and remain in His presence through joy, which can be activated and sustained through thanksgiving and praise. In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy. Your Father has come to visit you, come boldly into His presence, to the throne of grace. For example, if they gang up against you in the office, your first response, after you recover from the shock of the surprise, is to rejoice and thank God for it. Rejoice and keep rejoicing, remain joyful for as long as it lasts, and keep thanking God for coming to check on you. Be truly thankful, without ill feelings. The psalmist will teach you a lot about this.

(2) Walk in love. Remember the prodigal son, he had to come into his fathers presence when there was shaking in his life, and then his father recognised him and had mercy on him, and embraced him. The fact that his father recognised and embraced him as his son, is the whole point of this second thing. To obtain mercy from God in that situation, God has to recognise you as His own within that situation, and the only way to achieve that is to keep showing God’s image in that situation. God is love, so you must keep walking in love there. The scripture says that, to him that has, more shall be given to him, but to him who has not, even the little he has shall be taken from him.

If you lose it, and start attacking those that has ganged up against you, start quarrelling, and start doing all those things that don’t show the righteousness of God, you will miss out on what God has come to do. Just keep walking in love for as long as it lasts. Don’t observe the lying vanities that try to suggest to you that it is your mother-in-law, or your enemies in the occult, or your enemies in the office that are responsible, if you observe those lying vanities, you will miss out on God’s mercy. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. (Jonah 2:8 KJV)

(3) Watch and pray that you may not fall into temptation. Do you remember in the book of Job, when the sons of God gathered before the throne of grace, just like you have? You remember the devil also came? Now, while God came to bless His sons, the devil came to set traps for them, at the same time. When the scripture says, “watch and pray so that you don’t fall into temptation,” it is saying, “watch and pray so that you don’t fall into a trap.” You see, during these times of shakings, you won’t just fold your hands and do nothing, you have to do something, but if you don’t watch and pray, you will fall into a trap, you will take the wrong step, or say the wrong thing, or start thinking(meditating on) the wrong thing.

I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. (Habakkuk 2:1 NKJV). This part is closely related to the first issue of reproduction we discussed at the top of this conversation. Let’s first of all explain the words and expressions in the verse above. “…when I am corrected.” actually refers to chastisement. God chastises those He loves. And every tree that bears fruit, He prunes, so that it can bear more fruit. This is actually talking about times of shakings in your life, when God comes to make sure that His thoughts for you, which are good, are are still in place.

“Rampart” refer to scriptures that describe the manifestations of God in your life. A combination of both is what the scriptures refer to as altars. Altars are instances in your life where God has, in the past manifested Himself to you according to His word, things that happened in your life and you knew this is God’s doing, things that made you truly from your heart say, Thank You Father.
What I am sharing with you now, I heard it for the very first time from Pastor Poju Oyemade, and I went back to check the bible for myself and saw that it is true, then God showed me other things about it, that was when a lot of the things that has happened in my life began to make perfect sense to me, and I pray that these will change your life.

The fathers of old always built their altars where God manifested Himself to them, and when there’s a shaking in their life, they usually come back to that altar, because those altars are seeds God sowed in their life, and each time they face something like that again in the future, they come back to it and it is multiplied in their life. You can also build altars with what God did in other people’s lives, or through faith in what the word of God says He does.

“…what I will answer…” is another way of saying, “how I will respond” or “what I will do” in the situation. And then, to “watch” is to stay at the altars of God which are in your heart. The reason why you are there is to get instructions from God on what to do in the situation you have found yourself in. So, how exactly do you “watch,” what do you do at the altar? You offer a sacrifice. And that sacrifice is you. You must offer up yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, for that is your reasonable service. What does that mean? Don’t retaliate, don’t fight back, don’t take matters into your own hands even if you could, don’t “show them who you are”, just deny yourself, tie yourself up with the love of God and lay yourself on that altar.

Then, set the altar on fire and keep the fire burning by rejoicing and thanksgiving unto God. Keep worshipping Him in joy, with praises and thanksgiving. A sweet smelling aroma is what you are sending into heaven, just keep at it, and God will show up. When God shows up, and He will show up before ‘death’ comes on you, He will show you a lamb tied to the bushes. What does this mean? It means He will tell you exactly what to do, He will show you the steps you need to take, and when you take them, you will see God. You see, grace “teaches”. So, when the scripture says you’ll find grace to help you in time of need, it means God will tell you what exactly to do. There is always a human action to take before a miracle is perfected on earth, that action is what is called grace, that is what scripture calls the wisdom of God. And if you are walking in love while you watch and wait for this wisdom, which means you have God, for God is love, then to him that has will more be given, God will give you this wisdom.

A note of warning here though. Pastor Poju will say, God does not repeat miracles the same way, that He did it for me like this, does not mean He will do it for you the same way. And it is true. That Naaman was told to wash in the river, does not mean every other leper that washes in the same river will be healed. That Jesus sent Peter to cast his net into a particular side of the boat that night, and he caught lots of fishes, does not mean that other fishermen there that night could do the same and get the same result. Yes, if God does it for me, He can do it for you, but not the same way, and that God did it for you before, yes He will reproduce it again in your life, but this time it will not be exactly like before. The manna you gather today, will not serve you tomorrow. And we all may have our lamps lit with light, but that ‘extra’ oil that it takes to see the bridegroom appear, cannot be borrowed, you must have your own, remember the ten virgins. That is why you must find out exactly what He wants you to do each time.

That is the other thing you do before an altar, you pray. Remember the scripture says watch and pray, so pray and ask God to show you exactly what to do. He will show you. Tomorrow we shall get back to our conversation on meditation.
YOU ARE CHRIST.

The Wisdom of God #001

Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!” (Genesis 37:20 NKJV)

In the wisdom of man, it is the person who determines what becomes of their dreams. So, if something happens to a person his dream dies, if you want to attack a person’s dream you attack the person first and that takes care of their dream. But that ain’t the wisdom of God. For in God’s wisdom, it is the dream that determines what happens to the person bearing it. The person carrying a dream from God cannot be touched. The whole universe is always conspiring on their behalf.

Joseph could not be touched till he delivered his pregnancy, Jesus could not be touched till He delivered His pregnancy, and you cannot be touched till that dream in you which is from God comes to pass. A person in God’s will for their life, a person who has discovered his purpose from God, a person who is pregnant for the almighty is a person that cannot be touched by any kind of evil. Everything; your enemies, your friends, the devil and his demons, plans made against you, the elements, everything is doing what they must do to make sure that dream from God comes to pass. Fear not, a person on assignment for God is invincible.
YOU ARE CHRIST!

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 25)

Let’s take our discussion from yesterday a little farther for the sake of understanding. There are two kingdoms that contend for control of creation. The kingdom of light, which possess the original blueprint for reality, and the kingdom of darkness, which seek to make sure that anything but the original blueprint is not followed in reality. God’s ultimate goal is to see that the original blueprint is applied all over the earth by introducing the light of life, the word. For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV)

The question is how? The first thing He needs is a candle. The spirit of a man is the candle of The Lord,…(Proverbs 20:27 NKJV). The second thing is to light the candle. The entrance of Your words gives light;…(Psalms 119:130 NKJV). This light here is spoken of with words like righteousness, wisdom, love, living water, water of life, light of life. So, when God introduces light, or wisdom into the heart, the heart is lit up, or made righteous, shed abroad with love, or made wise.

From the heart, the mouth becomes the point of entry into the earth of the word of God. The tongue carries either life or death, light or darkness, living water or dryness, but the heart that has been made wise will teach its lips how to speak wisdom, or bring forth living water, or introduce light. The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, And adds learning to his lips. (Proverbs 16:23 NKJV) then, You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28 NKJV)

You need to shed light on your path first before you can walk in it without stumbling. Before you can expect a servant to act according to what you have in mind you must first of all issue instructions. In the same way, before reality will take the form in God’s blueprint for your life you must speak it, you must shed the light of life on reality. So, real effective confession is SPEAKING THE SAME TRUTH FROM GOD WHICH YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART.
YOU ARE CHRIST.

DON’T FOLLOW FOOLISHLY!

Never do something just because it’s the way it’s always been done. Judge the value of each action. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Wisdom only profits those who use her per time, those who make their way forward under the illumination of her light. Wisdom is a stranger among those who stick to traditions.

The Spirit of God is intelligent. Those who bear Him in their spirit must as a matter of consequence live intelligently, showing forth much wisdom in all matters. Actions and practises in the body of Christ must be informed by the intelligence of the Spirit, not by the established customs and traditions of the “church”. I am yet to understand how possible it is that one who claims to be part of the body of Christ is a stranger to the pages of scripture.

How on earth will such a person be made wise in the wisdom of the spirit? How on earth will such a person be able to rise above customs and religious traditions? How on earth will such a person live by the Spirit and walk in Spirit? How will they be able to judge the nature of actions and thoughts, or weigh the value of words and intentions? How will they be able to determine the order of importance of the many issues they face? Will they ever be able to define the point beyond which they would have gone too far in matters of life? How long will they continue to live in the comfort of rules and regulations just because they are too lazy to labour at the mines of knowledge and too ignorant to have any confidence in their own judgement.

The bereans ought to teach these people. They ought to teach them the beauty and blessedness of wisdom and spiritual intelligence. Alas, there is great reason why Paul commended them for verifying his own words, proving the authenticity and genuineness of the words of the chief of the apostles himself. It was no virtue to just take his word for it. The virtue was and still is in following intelligently, preserving ones own soul from even the sincere errors of others.

My dear brothers and sisters, this is not to inspire in you a damnable attitude of disrespect for your teachers and leaders, rather it is to provoke in you a responsible attitude in the weighty matters of the eternal destiny of your soul. Proceed to maturity. Move on from this childishness. Be responsible. Come to that point where you know what to do and when to do it. Your pastor is always saying this and saying that, just like a child’s mummy and daddy are always saying this and saying that. How many times have you heard your father say “my mummy said”?

Please grow up! Venture into deeper waters! There are more valuable things over there. Stop playing around with kindergarten level spiritual realities, go get yourself a seat among the elders so you can guide many more to the treasure chest of life; to the depths of Christ. Jesus said you will do greater works than He did: my question to you is “when will you”?
O LORD COME SOON.
