Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1:3-5 KJV)

Scripture tells us that we have already been blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Now, that means that everything you’ll ever need in life at every single moment has already been made available. Most people don’t use these provisions because of ignorance or unbelief. The scripture above tells us that these things are reserved in heaven for us, and these things, which are ready for deployment to the earth, shall be deployed into our lives by the power of God through our faith, producing the results we need.

Now, it says that this will happen in the last time. That means NOW. Because Christ ushered us into the last times, HalleluYah!

You see, what makes it look like your answer is taking some time is because you’re labouring to enter into rest, or in other words, you are ‘coming’ to believe. It’s a necessary process that the Spirit of God takes you through in order to establish your faith in the finished work of Christ. When He has trained you, you shall come forth as gold! Your light affliction is working out for you an eternal weight of glory. The real value is in what you gain spiritually during this waiting period, not the end reward. The end reward will make your joy full and also glorify God, but the process will bring you closer to the image of Christ.

If you’re believing God for something, satan will engage you and try to stop you. But fight the good fight of faith, not only will you get what you are believing for, but you shall also reclaim a portion of your spiritual land of promise from satan, which is your divine nature. You shall come out of that fight ‘wonderfully made’. Glory!

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (Romans 16:20 KJV)

Let us go to Egypt, to the days of Israel’s bondage, and see something very familiar to, in fact identical to what we have been talking about in terms of people being taken captive by a mindset and imprisoned in a humanly predictable cycle, which is what the bible refers to as being held in bondage by the fear of death, or being enslaved by the kingdom of darkness.

Now, the Israelites had been in Egypt for quite a while, they had been growing and prospering in the land, and then a Pharoah that did not know Joseph came into power. Let’s just take some time to understand this clearly. The scripture describes Joseph as a man in whom the Spirit of God is, and in the land of Egypt, by the demonstration of that Spirit in him, he was able to ‘continue’ the work of God among the Israelites while they were in Egypt, so they grew and multiplied and prospered.

But then, in the course of time, a new authority came into the picture, it was an authority that had no regard nor respect for what Joseph had done in the land. Let me digress a bit here to say this; beware that in life, no matter how good you are, no matter the good you have done or are doing, there are those who will arise, who have no regard for what you are doing. They will play that part of satan, and tap into the fear of people, and plot to run you aground.

In the same light, you must also have this very important point hanging in front of you always; the greatest threat to your progress in life, and at anything, comes with every successful step you take, and you have the capacity to become your own worst Pharoah. The temptation to pitch a tent at that point where you succeed is strong, your mind will rise against you, just like Pharoah rose against the Israelites. You will be tempted to forget that it was by faith you came to that point, and attempt to maintain your current success by works and forsake God. Don’t fall for it! Don’t be bewitched to think you can control a product of the spirit by the flesh.

Now, back to our current conversation. What we want to see, is how a people with whom the Spirit of God was, were able to be reduced to slaves, and then again snatched away from slavery, and restored to a people with the manifestation of the Spirit of God. And we shall have that conversation tomorrow.

The scriptures tell us that no man has ever seen God, it says “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1:18 NKJV)
Let’s understand this scripture properly, nobody has ever seen or can clearly describe the entity called God, people over the ages have seen and encountered God only through the manifestation of His word, through the truth made manifest, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the manifestation of truth, He is the word made flesh. His existence is the unfolding of truth. The implication of this to you is this; people will not know God until you show them what He looks like by living out the truth. This is what it means to literally give your life to Christ and live for Him. This is what it means to be a witness of Christ, to show by your life, the reality of the truth. It is not about ‘talking’, it’s about ‘being.’ You have to ‘be’ before you can ‘talk’ effectively. Check the instances in scripture where there was verbal communication of the gospel, you will see that there was first a ‘living’ of the gospel before it. It is about being “a living letter.” For example, when people see you walk in love toward those around you, they see what God is like, for God is love.

In the same way, satan makes himself seen, felt and known in this world when people live their lives based on lies and falsehood. For example, because of fearful things that has happened, people have been advised never to stop on the highway to offer help to strangers, with the generalised judgement that everyone waving you down on the highway is probably up to no good. So, what happens is that no matter how convincing the strangers need for help is, people will drive past them. Now, this is normal for a man living in the flesh, after all, the only way he can judge the situation is through his senses. You won’t blame him, but nevertheless, through his actions, he has given the evil one the opportunity to express himself.

God makes Himself felt in this world through the faith of people who have seen the truth, their faith in the truth works through love to produce life. The scriptures say that faith works through love. Jesus, which is the manifestation of the truth says, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” He went about doing good, so should you because you have the spirit of Christ in you. Satan makes himself felt in this world through the ignorance of people who are blinded from the truth, the frustration they feel in that darkness works through fear to produce death. Life, as we have seen means experiencing God through the lives of people who make the truth real by living it out, and death is to be starved of the goodness and love of God by the actions of those who out of fear perpetuate wickedness in the world.
