HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 14)

In our last conversation we established how the seed of God, which is the DNA of God is planted into the heart of a person to produce a new creation. Using the human reproductive process we established that the sperm can be compared to the seed of God, or the seed of righteousness, which is the will of God expressed through His word, the egg of the woman can be compared to faith which is what catches the sperm and activates it.

When the egg catches and activates the sperm, the sperm in turn fertilizes the egg, producing an embryo. An embryo is neither a male seed nor a female seed, it is the most tender and earliest form of the full grown creature that it will eventually grow into. So, the word of God, and the measure of faith deposited into our hearts by God produces the most tender and earliest form of the will of God, or righteousness.

At this point, it is important for us to remind ourselves that we are actually having a conversation on the kingdom of God, which the scriptures say is righteousness, peace and joy. So, we asked ourselves, what is righteousness? And that is how we got here. At this point in our conversation, we understand how the most tender and earliest form of righteousness is produced in our hearts.

This is where a sinner is when they first hear the gospel and are convicted in their hearts, this is where a believer is when they hear the word of God preached about a certain issue in their life and that “I can” feeling, or that “it is possible” feeling glows in their hearts. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about, we’ve all been there and we continue to experience it every time the will of God meets faith in our heart.

That right there is righteousness, that is righteousness in its most tender and earliest form. In very practical terms, since this series is “How to practically operate in God’s shoes, righteousness is agreement with God. So, God makes known His will about a sinners life, or about your situation, or about an issue in your life, and you agree with Him through faith, that is righteousness in its earliest stage of development.
YOU ARE CHRIST.

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 13)

Biologically, a new tree begins to form when a seed is planted on a conducive and fertile ground. The seed carries the DNA that will eventually form the tree, and the water that nourishes both the seed and the plant is supplied through the ground. In the case of humans, the seed is the sperm and the ground is the woman. Spiritually, a true Christian is born when righteousness, which is the seed of God is planted into the heart of a person.

We need to understand that righteousness, God’s seed, God’s will and Truth which is God’s word are one and the same thing. God’s seed is introduced into the heart of a person in its expressed form which is the word. “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. (Luke 8:11 NKJV)

A woman can only receive the sperm of a man if she is producing egg, it is the egg that catches and activates the sperm, spiritually, a person can only catch and activate the power within God’s word if the person has faith. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. (Hebrews 4:2 NKJV)

Now, …God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3 NKJV) When a woman is in her active reproductive cycle, eggs are being produced within her. When the gospel comes to the person in whose heart God wants to plant His seed, something happens within that persons heart, the Holy Spirit causes the production of spiritual reproductive egg to begin by awakening the persons faith.

So, a Christian is born by the fertilization of the faith God has deposited within his/her heart by the expressed will of God, which is the word of God. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12, 13 NKJV)
YOU ARE CHRIST.

There is one more example I have on my mind. A friend of mine once stuffed a pillow under her cloth to make herself look pregnant, she was practicing for the real thing she says. She will probably make an attempt on my life for doing this, God protect me please! Anyway, it’s good to have a good laugh once in a while.

So, assuming she gets carried away, and she somehow begins to think that she’s really carrying a baby. She signs up for ante-natal, starts buying baby things, sitting around and feeling lazy, asking that we open the window so that sunlight can come into the room, in the middle of the night! Anyway, we love her don’t we guys, and we understand what she’s going through and all that, so we’re patient with her for nine months.

Finally, it’s time to deliver. But no labour pains! What’s going on here?! Does she need a shot to kick start the labour? Ok, we take her to the doctor, she gets a shot, nothing! No labour, no baby. Something is really wrong here! Eventually, the doctor examines her very well and finds out she’s not pregnant, she’s not expecting any baby! We are all not only disappointed, we also feel some indignation toward her, she just took us all on a nine month long ride!

That’s unacceptable! Exactly! That’s why God described right-action without righteousness as filthy rag. Having a form of godliness in the absence of the main subject which is God is such a waste. In talking about the kingdom of God as righteousness, peace and joy, righteousness here refers to the seed of righteousness, the tree of righteousness, the water that sustains the tree of righteousness and the fruit of righteousness, all working harmoniously as one, each in agreement with the rest and none absent.

So, what is righteousness? RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE WILL OR MIND OF GOD. The seed of righteousness is the word of God, the tree is the man who believes, the water is the Spirit and the fruit is the manifestation of the will of God. We will continue this conversation tomorrow.
YOU ARE CHRIST.

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 11)

What is righteousness? In secondary school chemistry classes, we learnt that if you have a substance that you suspect to be an acid, you can investigate and confirm the acidity of the substance by a simple test. Take a piece of paper, called litmus paper that has been previously soaked in a certain substance, then dip it into the substance you’re investigating, It will turn red if it is an acid.

Now, imagine someone pointing to the red colour and saying “see acid!” Funny right? Of course, and that’s because the red colour is not the acid, it is the proof that the substance it was diped into is an acid. The red colour is the action that the acid takes when it is exposed to the other substance that the paper had been soaked with. Righteousness is not just right-action. Right-thinking, right-speaking and right-action are the effects of the presence of righteousness in the heart of a believer. The good man, out of the good stored up in his heart brings forth good things.

Another example; what if someone comes along with a substance and says “this is an acid.” And you ask, “why do you say that?” The fellow replies, “I believe it is and if I test it with litmus paper it will turn the paper red.” Again you ask, “have you tested it then?” He replies, “not yet but I believe it will turn litmus paper red.” And then he hops along with a smile on his face. Sincerely, you will shake your head and say, “what a fool!” And that is exactly what the scripture calls such people who build houses on sand. I am ashamed to say this; there are many fools in church. I hope you’re not one of them!? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,…He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Matthew 3:8, 12 NKJV)

What if you chase after the fellow, you catch up and he stops. You say, “good fellow, here’s litmus paper, test that thing you have just to be sure, you don’t want to get to where you’ll use it and find out it’s not what you think.” He takes the paper, dips it into the substance and nothing happens. This is what the scripture calls dead faith. The righteousness that such people claim to have is exactly what it is, a mere claim! They haven’t got it. My dear, is your “litmus paper” red?
YOU ARE CHRIST.

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 10)

Over the course of this week and early next week we will dwell on these three very important and essential subjects of our being as children of the Most High; righteousness, peace and joy. We will spend about two to three days on each, making an edifying journey to the centre of our faith. Christianity begins and ends in these three things, they are as essential to our walk with God as our DNA is to our development as human beings. They are the keys of the kingdom.

Make no mistakes about what I am saying! I am not making religious statements here, the things I have said above are not meant to sound deep and greatly important, they are! The ignorance of these things, and perhaps also the refusal by those who know these things already to act on them are the reason for the state of the church today. The end is near! And the church that will be raptured is a church that has the DNA of the kingdom. Brethren it is time to rethink and return to the path of righteousness, peace and joy, or be left behind.

Across the book of Revelation, The Lord made it very very clear in many instances that those that shall receive the final rewards of the Maker of all things are those who “overcome” here on the earth, by continually living the kind of life and producing the kind of results that Jesus has. The scripture has told us in the book of John that the Holy Spirit, will at His coming take the things that are Christ’s and make them ours. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— (Revelation 2:26 NKJV)

It is written, whatever is born of God overcomes the world. The reason why you made a mistake in that relationship you went into is because either the relationship itself, something within it, or the way you went about it was not born of God. The reason you made a decision to move to a new city and when you got there your walk with God began to suffer, and you began to get into all sorts of trouble is because that move was not born of God.

The reason why the decisions you make, the actions you take and the ambitions you have bring you disappointments, sorrow and lack of fulfilment is because they are not expressions of the will of God. And the reason why the earth will recognize you is because your life is an expression of the will of God, the earth has long been expecting such beings, the manifestation of the sons of God. It is also why heaven will receive you, now and in the end.
YOU ARE CHRIST.

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 9)

The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The manifest presence of God, where the sovereignty of God and His ultimate power is constantly at work is characterised by righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Please note that we are not talking about the occasional miracle, or the general goodness of God over people. We are talking about the ability to operate as God on the earth at all times, and to live constantly under open heavens, Emmanuel.

The bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the word of God made manifest; in the beginning was the word, and the word was God…and the word was made flesh…. Jesus Christ is the complete manifestation of the word of God. So, when the wise men were guided by the sign of the manifested word(star) to the place He was born, they brought out from within their treasures three things; gold, frankincense and myrrh. These are types for righteousness, peace and joy.

Now, observe that these wise men were bringing out these things from their treasures when they got to where Jesus was. That means that they already had them. They had those three things all along while they were following that star. One cannot hope to always arrive at the manifestation of the word of God in ones life without being armed with those three things; righteousness, peace and joy.

In life we do not carry treasure chests around, our treasures are stored in our hearts. The good man out of the good stored in his heart brings forth good things and wherever your treasure is there also will your heart be. Your heart is inseparable with your treasure. God, your Father has put these three things inside your heart. Therefore, guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life.

Without those three things at work in our lives, we will not be able to keep our eyes fixed on that star, the author and finisher of our faith. That’s when we begin to miss the way, begin to make mistakes in life and run into all kinds of calamities that leave the mark of death all over our lives. But thank God those things are in you! The question however is this; will you walk in them?
YOU ARE CHRIST!
