THE LOVE OF GOD.

For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, And you said, No! We will speed [our own course] on horses! Therefore you will speed [in flight from your enemies]! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds [doing our own way]! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift, [so swift that] One thousand of you will flee at the threat of one of them; at the threat of five you will flee till you are left like a beacon or a flagpole on the top of a mountain, and like a signal on a hill. And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! [John 14:3, 27; II Cor. 12:9; Heb. 12:2; I John 3:16; Rev. 3:5.] O people who dwell in Zion at Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭15-19‬ AMP)

Wow! Can you just imagine the love and mercy of God?

When you’re shutting Him out and running far away from Him, He keeps seeking close after you. And when your own stubbornness has made you an icon of shame, failure, human depravity etc, He was patient enough to follow you close and lovingly to this point, AND ALSO TO DO SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE YOU SEE HIM, almost like a little child being ridiculously funny trying to get someone’s attention. O Lord My God! And once you turn to Him, once you call to Him, He quickly has mercy on you, He saves you and removes your shame. He glorifies you. Can you imagine this love? The Father’s love is perfect and has nothing in it to make you afraid of coming to Him.

You reading this, you may have come to such a point in your life where all hope seems lost, and tomorrow seems impossible, I want you to know that this is God lovingly making Himself and His love visible to you again. Come to Him NOW!

Jesus Christ is God’s message to you, believe in Him TODAY!

HOW TO PRACTICALLY OPERATE IN GOD’S SHOES (PT. 94)

Pharaoh did a lot of things to the Israelites in an attempt to stop them from multiplying and prospering. None of them worked, but he did succeed in one thing, robbing them of their faith, which is what made their ancestors as powerful and extraordinary as they were. By subjecting them to slavery for many decades, Egypt was able to corrupt their mind, forgetting the life of faith, they embraced a predictable existence, one in which they can predict for sure what they will get, if they did their job. For hundreds of years they didn’t have to trust God for anything, so they even forgot who He really is. All they knew was Pharaoh and slavery.

The deception of Egypt was subtle. Their bodies were satisfied to an acceptable extent. Now the rabble that was among them had a strong craving. And the people of Israel also wept again and said, “Oh that we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. (Numbers 11:4, 5 ESV)

That was basically one side of the story, but it was the one most obvious to them. It is still so today in every way that the bondage of darkness expresses itself in the lives of people. In moral issues, what people remember is the satisfaction to their sensual appetites, in issues of money, what people remember are the immediate satisfaction to their fleshly needs, in relationships, what people remember are the self-satisfaction that comes from doing as ones personal desires dictate. People are quick to remember the body, or the senses.

Unknown to them, they are following the way of Esau, who sold his entire future just to satisfy his stomach for today. It was not so with their ancestors, look at Abraham, how long he waited in faith for the fulfilment of God’s promise, and Isaac, how he kept digging up his father’s wells, which the philistines had covered with sand. Even though they would claim each one he uncovers, he patiently kept digging up another after another, till they let him be. Jacob served fourteen years for one woman, even though he was cheated, his patience didn’t run out in solidarity to his body. Scripture made sure we did not miss that point of patience when it talks about those, “…who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:12 ESV)
