But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. (I Corinthians 2:15 NKJV)

The scripture above is actually saying that, a person who is led by the Spirit of God through the word of God, the word that has been translated from logos to rhema by meditation, that such a person will by the use of that word make decisions about life and things, decisions that will be perfectly right as long as the will of God for that persons life is concerned. This is what Jesus talks about when He says, “whoever follows me shall never walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John talking about this says “in Him was life and the life was the light of men.

However, if another person tries to use what that person has done to make decisions about his own life and situations, it may not work out right for the person. This is what happened to Pharoah and his army at the Red Sea, the Israelites were following the word of God, they judged the situation before them by looking to the word, but Pharoah tried to judge the situation by looking at what the Israelites did, and he was destroyed. The same thing happened to the sons of sceva.

It is wrong to follow people blindly, especially when they are spiritual people. This is what a lot of people that follow others in the name of role models and “mentor” do not understand. It is good to find out WHY they do what they do at least, instead of following blindly, but the best approach is to be led by the Spirit yourself, HEAR God for yourself by meditating on the scriptures. When God reaches out to you through the life of men, be sure it matches God’s hand first before taking hold of it, like the Bereans.
