As Within, So Without.

Whatever generates the images you look at in your mind is the source of your life, because out of your heart come the boundaries of your life, as it is written; as far as the eyes of your heart can see will I give unto you. It is the mind’s reality that we are transformed into. Those possible outcomes, that future you envision, those ideas living in your heart, what gave birth to them? Are they born of the word of God? They better be! Cast away the children of this worlds wisdom, the opinions of men, the predictions of culture, the report of experiences past, and all those voices that are bound to the senses, and embrace the child of the Spirit, let the knowledge of the truth make you free, for all things are possible to him that believes. Believe and meditate on the word of God, you will see the kingdom of God. What you ‘see’ is what you get.

And that’s why Jesus said that “if the light in you be darkness, how great is that darkness.” Matt 6:23.Jesus knew that without light we could do nothing, He knew that we can only move freely within the light. Most especially He knew that what we see with the eyes of our heart sets the boundaries of our life. If what we see in our heart is truth(light), we will live truth, and that’s freedom, but if what we see in our heart is lies(darkness), then how great is that darkness, because the darkness becomes our life, we live a lie, and that’s real bondage. Out of the heart come the boundaries of our life, and if what is in our heart is darkness, then the boundary of our life is in darkness, that is what an evil stronghold is.

Imagine a person going through a difficult experience, perhaps a loss or a heartbreak, that’s a moment of rebirth in life, the end of life as it has always been, and the beginning of another. At points like this, one finds oneself in similar circumstances as a butterfly going from one stage to another in its lifecycle, or as a flower blossoming, opening its petals for the first time. This person will either blossom in light or in darkness. If this person blossoms in the darkness, this person will move forward with the conclusion that life is not worth living, or that all men cannot be trusted, and in this darkness this person will live until the day light comes. They will attract and experience things that reinforce their belief, they will act in line with their belief contaminating the opportunities that come to them, because what is in their heart is creating real time manifestations of itself.

But one who blossoms in the light under the circumstances will find the word of God that speaks to ones circumstances, they will trust in God Who makes all things new, and move forward in life trusting in that word. And so will that word wash away the past to bring forth manifestations of Itself. They live free from what they have been through.

A lot of people miss out on the perfect opportunity to experience a Big God show off His awesomeness in and through their lives. God hides Himself in the darkness. God uses the weak things of this world to shame the strong and the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.

When people say it can’t be done, when they say it’s impossible, when they prove beyond reasonable doubt, scientifically and otherwise that it’s just not going to work out, God smiles and says, ‘now, step aside and watch.’ And He says it with a smirk on His face.

At such times, what you should do is not to get afraid or give up, that is the time to rejoice and go forward with greater expectation, because that’s the perfect circumstance for God to show up, and remind everybody involved that there is God. Don’t waste a perfect opportunity.

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, “Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you. Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the Lord, he gave them into your hand. For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.” (2 Chronicles 16:7-9 ESV)

Jeremiah 16 & 18,

Satan enslaves people with ignorance, fear and idolatry. These are his three fundamental ways of governance over people. Ignorance ceases the mind and takes it captive, that is where it fundamentally locks the person down, in the mind. The scriptures talk about the mind being darkened. It’s ignorance that it refers to there. Ignorance doesn’t mean lack of knowledge, it means ‘protection’ from truth. That’s what the scripture means when it talks about people saying, “peace, peace, when there is no peace.” Satan uses the five senses to supply people with a kind of light(knowledge), which the scripture calls darkness. “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6:23 NKJV)

Ignorance is very effective in the hands of satan for some reasons; chief among them is the deception-made-real nature it has, which makes what the five senses perceive, seem ‘very real’ to people. Even most of you reading this right now, the things you consider real are the things your five senses perceive; what you see, touch, hear, smell and taste. I don’t mean to insult you, but if what I just said is true about you, you are under satan’s governance through ignorance. You need to realise, that, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:3 NKJV), “…we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (II Corinthians 4:18 NKJV)

In simple English, the above scriptures are saying this; everything(both things and situations) that can be perceived by the five senses, are mere temporary, for the moment ‘form’ of the word of God, which will fade away for the next ‘form’ of that same word, in other that each circumstance will experience the integrity of God’s word, and have a proof that God does not lie, and is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. For example, let’s say you earn a thousand dollars per month at the moment, from a job you got by God’s intervention, and the pay is abundantly sufficient for you, it means you can say “my God supplies all my needs.”

Suddenly, things change, your needs get bigger, and your huge paycheck becomes not so huge after all. At this point, if you look upon your paycheck, and judge the possibility of meeting your current needs based on that, then that’s ignorance at work in you. You are looking at ‘things’ instead of looking at what created them. ‘Things’ don’t give birth to things, words give birth to things. In this case, you need to realise that, the same word that “supplies all your needs” yesterday, is the same today too. If you are born again, then the way to escape ignorance is through meditation on the word of God. We will talk about fear and idolatry subsequently, and then we will see how to break people out of that prison, and get them back into Eden, or how to tear the veil and give them access again into their spirit.

Ephesians 5, Romans 13, Galatians 5

The ‘sense life’ is a prison for the fallen man. That is where the scriptures describe as the kingdom of darkness(a state of existence characterised by inability to recognise and understand the things of God). When operating in the natural senses, man is blinded from the truth. Life in the flesh, is blindness to the knowledge of God. That is why the scriptures talk about eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear. This is the kingdom where satan rules, where men operate according to their physical senses. It is the seat of human wisdom, which challenges everything that cannot be perceived or figured out with the natural senses, of which it is written about those who dwell in it, that “the carnal mind is enmity with God, it cannot please God, neither can it know God.” That is inability to both act in God’s shoes or see and receive truth, which is what it means to live in darkness, or to be spiritually dead.

In the course of our conversations, we will realise that just as God makes Himself real to us through the truth in our spirit, so also satan makes himself real to us through lies, or through knowledge that oppose truth. Satan makes contact with us through our senses, because he was thrown out of Eden too and condemned to feed on the earth. Satan feeding on the earth, means that satan finds expression through the flesh. Take a critical look on the world, everything we accuse the devil of is born out of the flesh, evil is the work of the man operating in the senses; wickedness, wars, poverty, suffering, hatred, intolerance, jealousy, etc. These are all manifestations of fear, described by scripture as the works of the flesh. In this world where we live, God can never be more real to you than the truth you know and obey(love), and satan can never be more real to you than the lies about life you know and obey(fear).

The scripture makes a statement; “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Revelation 12:12 NKJV). This literally means; what a terrible thing to live in the flesh, for satan has been given authority to rule in and through the senses of men. Those who operate by their senses do the works of darkness. They work the works of darkness and also experience the stings of death. If you try to show them the way, because they are blind, they will be afraid to do as you say. Then they stumble, fall, knock something over or hit a pillar, until their blindness is healed. So scripture talks about putting to death the works of darkness through the spirit, in other words, replacing a life based on the senses with a life based on the truth. We shall see how to practically do this in the course of our conversations.
