I’m sure that by now, a few things in the scriptures and life are beginning to fit into a clearer picture in your spirit, don’t worry about those that haven’t, they will still fall into place with time, remember, it is precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little. In due time, God Himself will teach you all things through His Spirit, which is in you.
At the beginning of this series, we agreed that you will be doing three things, as your responsibility on this journey; reading your bible, praying and practicing the things you learn as we go along. I hope you’ve been doing that. If you don’t apply what you learn, after some time you will become puffed up, because that’s what unproductive knowledge does. Those who get results with the knowledge they gain do not make noise. They are the humblest people you will ever meet. If you meet anybody with so much noise about what they know, believe me, even if they tell you they’re achieving things, it’s either mostly lies, or they will soon be humbled.
Let me show you what the bible says about people who are truly great in life. “And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things. (Psalms 45:4 NKJV)” That scripture is not talking about God, it’s about Christ, the One who now lives in you, remember that after you died with Him, He took over your life when you resurrected with Him. True spirituality is about three things; truth, humility and justice(righteousness). And notice also that great and awesome knowledge is taught by the right hand. The ‘right hand’ refer to the acts of God, and since we are not God but gods, i.e. the children of God, for us the ‘right hand’ refer to acts we do in obedience to God’s will.
The reason why you need to keep reading the scriptures often is because sometimes it seems as if the scripture is a ‘puzzle’, and one thing about puzzles, the more of the pieces you have, the better sense you can make of it. It’s precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little. So, in different situations you find the Spirit fixing the puzzle in your mind, bringing matching pieces together, but you must have the pieces you need in your mind first. So, read your bible please, read, read, and get to the end, then start over again. Here’s how I make it fun and interesting for myself, each time I want to start afresh, I get a different translation, it works. Ofcourse this doesn’t make up for real study. You still have to solve the puzzle as you gather the pieces.
And please, go back and read the past conversations on this series, it will help you understand a lot of the things we are presently talking about better, and those we’ll be talking about subsequently. We will get back on track tomorrow.
