Did I provoke you enough yesterday? Yes! You exert your strenght, yet nothing. You breakthrough, then a serpent bites you. The very thing you think provides for you, suddenly becomes your source of pain and destruction. It is not supposed to be so my dears, not at all! Wisdom brings real all-round success, the kind that adds no sorrow, and through a life of prayerful meditation you will access wisdom. Wisdom is everywhere, on the streets, in your mind, the problem is that you’re not seeing it. Wisdom in the heart of a man is like deep waters, but a man of understanding draws it out. You are not a fool, For “The labor of fools wearies them, For they do not even know how to go to the city! (Ecclesiastes 10:15 NKJV)
The city we are talking about is the kingdom of God on earth, which God passes through the spirit or heart of man, where the manifest character, presence, power and works of God are evident. Jesus said to Nicodemus, “…Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:3, 5 NKJV). I want you to understand the relationship between what Jesus said and what Solomon said in Ecclesiastes.
The writer of the book of Hebrews was very concerned that at a time the people he was writing to ought to be masters in “entering the city” they are still in need of being thought that there is even a city. That’s just plain wrong! Solomon calls it an error under the sun. This is the reason why many Christians are living in defeat and weakness, operating so below the means of their spiritual estate, going through life as slaves when they should be ruling the earth in dominion. They don’t know that it is their right to know about danger before it happens, or have a leading in their spirit that gets them to do something that gets them out of the way of an impending danger, they don’t know they can command their business to proper and it will obey, they don’t know they have right to know exactly what God wants to do and have the power to perform it in God’s behalf.
Jesus said that the way to enter into this city, is to be born of water and the spirit. What does this mean? How do you get born again by water and by spirit? To understand this we must understand what the “doctrine of baptisms” is truly about. And we shall have this conversation to greater detail tomorrow, but I want to mention this; it is about burying your spiritually dead “self” in the water of God’s word, so that your spiritually alive “self” can resurrect, equipped with new senses that really work.
YOU ARE CHRIST.
