But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. (Matthew 13:20, 21 NKJV)

We’ve been having a conversation on how to avoid spiritual miscarriage of the creative word of God. We know that when God wants to do a thing on the earth and in our lives He begins by talking about it into our hearts. If God wants to heal us of a sickness in the body He begins by saying it to us with His word. He will likely, for example say, by my stripes you’ve been healed. Then by faith we accept what He has said and believe that it will happen. We know that at this point a spiritual child has been conceived inside us, waiting for delivery, and for the time being going through spiritual development within our spirit.

It is this word that will go on to produce the reality intended by God, as it is written, “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10, 11 NKJV)

Sometimes we find ourselves in that situation where the spiritual pregnancy is aborted, where our faith for whatever it was we were believing for suddenly fades and we find ourself shaking in fear in the face of the enemy. Why does this happen? Scripture says it’s because we were intimidated into unbelief again by the lying vanities, the contradictions and lying suggestions that pop up in our minds and our environment, things that come to test our faith. But the more fundamental question is “why did we fail the test?” Here’s the answer, If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small. (Proverbs 24:10 NKJV). We will focus on this tomorrow.

On knowing where the boundaries of your faith lie…

Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, BECAUSE HE TRUSTS IN YOU. (Isaiah 26:2, 3 NKJV)

The believer who meditates on the word of God, the believer who focuses on the word of God in order to be transported into the reality of that word by the power of God, does that because he has faith in God’s ability to make it happen, not because he has faith in the process itself, or in the ability of his mind to produce any result on its own without the Spirit of God. His confidence that meditating on the word will produce the intended result is founded on the fact that God is at work within him to give life to whatever he does in the light of scripture. He is fully persuaded that the just shall live by his faith in God, and that whatever is done without faith is sin. This is the fundamental difference between Christian meditation and eastern meditation.

In the example situation of bodily illness we’re using, these “contradictions” could be increased symptoms which will come with a lying suggestion that your faith is not working. It could be the tears of a loved one who can’t bear to see you sick and is begging you to do something “realistic” about your situation. Whatever it is, you need to know and always remember this very fundamental truth: there are two forces in life that balance out to produce equilibrium or stability in reality.

In positioning they’re called action and reaction, in computer programming they’re called good code and bad code, in language they’re called words and opposites, in existence they’re called life and death, in perception they’re called light and darkness and in ultimate reality they’re “truth” and “lie”. Where you eventually come to rest depends on which force you allow yourself to be moved by, the greater force will always cancel out the lesser.

You must always recognise what is “truth” and what is “lie” in every situation you face in life, that is key, that is the foundation, and that will determine what kind of blocks you build your reality with. “Truth” is the will of God expressed through His word. Keep your mind’s eye focused on the light of truth and it will eventually illuminate your whole life with the essence of truth. If you accept the lies and take your eyes off the truth, you will miss the manifestation of Christ.

Build your realities with gold, travel through life guided by the light of truth. This is possible when you find the truth for yourself through study and meditation. That word has to come into your spirit, be captured by your spirit with faith and absorbed into your whole being through meditation. You cannot depend on hearsay; my pastor said, they said it works, I think if it works for Angela it will work for me, no, that’s not born of God and it won’t overcome the attack that will come. Get the word for yourself.

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. (I Corinthians 3:11-15 NKJV)

Let’s say you notice an appearance of sickness in your body, knowing that this is not consistent with the word of God, which is the foundation that has been laid, which is Jesus Christ. You begin a faith walk toward the manifestation of that word of God. The power of God is working through your faith to bring you to the last day of your present situation and the appearance of Christ in your body, which is the reward of your faith walk.

Now, during this period you may build successfully upon that foundation, or you may build unsuccessfully. It all depends on the “material” you build with, or in other words the light that guide the steps you’re taking. The bible says that if your eye is single, then your whole body will be full of light. In other words, if you maintain a consistent un-shifting focus on one thing, then your whole body will soon be radiated by the essence in that thing. That’s why scripture says, if you started in the spirit, how do you think you can finish in the flesh, because if you shift your focus, you disconnect from the flow.

The trials and testing of your faith will try to shift your mind from The Lord, but that’s your spiritual warfare right there, you’ve got to stay your mind on the word, and maintain that peace between your mind and the word, subduing those “contradictions” that pop up in your mind and in your environment, which try to derail you with lying suggestions. Don’t agree with those “contradictions” either in your words or by your actions, don’t take those lying suggestions. Stand your ground.

Between the treasure rooms of heaven and the manifestation of the promise in your life, just like we’ve established there are also other “smaller” “promise lands”, “comings of Christ” and “last days” that need to be consistent with the will of God. These can be things like the words you’re saying about that thing, the actions you’re taking about it, the kind of help you’re accepting, what you’re thinking about it, etc.

These are the out workings of your faith. They retain and convey the power of God in and through your life. It is God who causes these out workings in you, He works in us both to will and to act on our will in agreement with His own will. He does this in order to preserve our salvation(promise land) which is ready to be revealed in the “last time”.(I Peter 1:5)

It is crucial that these out workings are tested, tried and proved. This testing process is fundamentally important for ensuring that whatever makes it to the place of manifestation is “Christ”, so that God alone will get the glory, thereby covering more of the earth with the knowledge of His glory, which is what He has always wanted.

While you are rejoicing in faith for the manifestation of the word of God yet to come, it will be necessary for a little while to have you …grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, (I Peter 1:6-7 NKJV). Don’t struggle with that word “grieved”, it simply means “to distress” or “to challenge your comfort zone”, in order words “to test you”.

The focus here is your response in the midst of that distress, just like the popular saying, “it is not what happens to you but your response in the midst of it all.” Scripture teaches us that whatever is born of God overcomes the world, so by the time the testing is over and Christ is revealed in that situation of sickness in the form of healing, all the glory will go to God, because only the seed of God could have survived that onslaught you went through. Everybody will know, even you will know it was God. Everything that led up to the manifestation will be screaming God. God doesn’t joke with His glory.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (I Peter 1:3-5 NKJV)

So, if these “smaller” promise lands are safely kept in heaven for us, how do we get them down here where we need them and at the right time we need them? The answer to that is in what we’ve been discussing for the past few weeks. The kingdom of God is accessed with three keys, righteousness(faith in God’s word), peace(we are yet to discuss this in full but it is the result of maintaining victory in the mind over the suggestions that rise up in opposition to God’s word, for there is perfect peace in the man whose mind is at home with God’s wisdom), and joy in the Holy Ghost(which is rejoicing in the conviction that God’s word is as good as reality).

These three keys, we have seen were also used by the wise men that journeyed to the manifestation of Christ(the birth of Christ), in the symbolic form of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Each of these three keys must be used to open three specific doors in man; righteousness is used to unlock the spirit of man(with the heart(spirit) man believes unto righteousness), peace unlocks the soul of man which is the mind and will(…be transformed by the renewing of your mind…), finally joy being a godly emotion produced by the Spirit, unlocks the body of man on an emotional level.

When these three doors are unlocked with the word of God, they are alligned with each other and alligned with the will of God. Then, a highway appears which leads from the heavenly places in Christ to the reality we live in, ready for these “smaller” promised lands to be shipped to us. With this in place, the power of God working through faith is surely bringing us closer and closer to the “last day” of whatever journey we’re currently taking. Soon the word will manifest(Christ will come), and we will enter the promise land.

What’s Your Address?

When it comes to attaining your utmost, where you live is the fundamental and most important part of the equation. Every plant will do well in a specific habitat, so also every beast of the earth. A fish will not survive on land and a salt water fish will only enjoy a prosperous life in salt water.

A doctor will wither away in a community where nobody gets sick, a carpenter will starve in a neighbourhood where only glass is used and I wonder what on earth a person with passion for kids is doing in the banking industry!

Spiritually speaking there is a perfect habitat for the perfect spiritual life, it’s called the will of God. It’s the best place to live, and it has potential to turn you into one of the wonders of the earth.

Now, where you live is not just about the physical boundaries of your habitation, it’s also about the unseen but real boundaries of your spiritual, psychological and social habitat. All these, including the geographical boundaries of your habitation will play important roles in your personal effectiveness and destiny at different levels and at different times.

To tell you how important this is, it is one of the few things God himself predermines for you. God…”has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ (Acts 17:26-28 NKJV)

What’s your address? Are you sure you’re living in your pre-fitted location spiritually, psychologically, socially and geographically? Find out if you’re not sure. Ask and you will be told, seek it and you will find it, knock on its door and the door will be opened to you. Pico Lyer once said, “Home is where we stand”…at rest, Enter your rest NOW!
Good morning gods.
