NOT MY WILL BUT YOUR OWN O LORD!

We made a detour in our last discussion in order to address an issue, today let’s get back to our discussion on the mystery of godliness. As we were saying, The Father, The Word and The Spirit struck up a partnership to make a creature that will resemble the three of them in essence. We are talking about man. So, we understand that the Fathers consciousness and will provided the intent, which was conceived in the Word and consummated by the Spirit.

There are certain realities here that are worthy of note. These may not be new knowledge to us but it is important we see how they fit together with other things in the big picture. I believe it will help us reposition ourselves well for the life God intends for us to live.

First, there is the matter of “how God created man”. Let’s realise that first of all The Father consciously intended to create man out of His will, then He said it out to those that will participate in the process with Him, then He went to work, physically moulding the man with earth, He breathed into the man the breath of life, and after that the man came to life. Our concern here is the mystery of godliness, our motivation is that whatever is revealed belongs to man, which means that anything revealed about God is essentially true of man.

Therefore, this is how a spiritual man gets physical results. This is how we, as extensions of God in this dark and evil world live true to our purpose. This is how we enforce the order of light in place of darkness both in our lives and in the world around us. We must first of all know what the intent and will of God for that particular issue or situation is. We can find this out through the study of God’s word. When we have found God’s will, we must make it our own. We must take that which is of God and make it our own. That which is true of God in heaven must become true of man here on earth.

We achieve this by mixing the word(will) of God with our faith. In other words, we must believe, we must take it that it is so, therefore agreeing with heaven on behalf of the earth that the earth wants the same thing that heaven wants. That’s why God gave man dominion over the earth and that’s why whatever name Adam gave the creatures on earth heaven agreed. This is the whole dynamics of the logos transiting to rhema, the written word of God becoming a realisation in our spirit, a part of God dropping into us. As it is written in the scriptures, “the entrance of Your word gives light.” “And the light shines in the darkness, and overcomes the darkness. Nothing else can defeat darkness but light. So, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1-2. God put man here to agree with heaven, the devil tried to steal that authority in order to disagree continually with heaven and make sure the will of God is never done on earth.

So, it is not your own will that produces result. It is not your own will that you pray. This is why a lot of prayers go unanswered, heaven finds them strange. They did not originate in heaven. They are prayers made amiss. When the scriptures say, “whatsoever things you ask for…” Realise that it is not saying whatever you personally want, it is saying whatever God wants that you have made your own will. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. That is real prayer. That is the mystery of godliness part one. We shall continue our discussion tomorrow. Have a great day and think about this more.
O LORD COME SOON!
