EVERY LEADER NEEDS A GOOD WIFE

Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. (I Timothy 3:11 NKJV)

Every leader needs a good wife. The Chinese have this saying; “when a man marries a bad wife, he is poor for life. Since the wife is the key of the house, the man who has a good one is considered to be very fortunate, the scriptures say such a man has obtained favour from The Lord. There are two things that prolong this life, a quiet heart and a loving wife. A bad wife, the German’s say, is the shipwreck of her husband.

There is an Eastern saying, “A virtuous wife causes her husband to be honoured, a bad one brings him to shame.” No leader wants to have a bad wife by his side. In Hindustani, there’s an adage, “The house that has a bad wife is on the eve of ruin.” The book of proverbs talks about a virtuous woman, it tells us that she is a crown to her husband, but there is the other woman that it also talks about, it calls her the one that causes shame, that she is as rottenness to her husbands house.

The scriptures insists that a leaders wife must deserve respect. She must be worthy of honour like her husband, A woman whose character and lifestyle rests on her husbands reputation as diamonds on the neck of a queen. She should not be known for the escapades of her tongue. She must be calm and calculated, having a right sense of decency, cautious as not to appear questionable in her ways.

We must remember that a leader must be able to keep his house in order. It takes two to do that, not two captains, but rather a king and a submissive queen.
O LORD COME SOON!
