Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, (I Timothy 1:5 NKJV)
There is only one purpose; love! True Christianity is always aiming to achieve one singular thing; love. Love for God and love for man as well. Both the teaching and practice of the Christian faith will end in love to be genuine and authentic. True Christianity must either generate the desire to love or translate this desire to action toward God or man.
When this is not the case, the purpose has been defeated. The very thing that God intended to achieve through us has been destroyed.
God sent us here in the first place because we were made to be able to duplicate HIS personality here. Being made in HIS express image and likeness doesn’t imply physical resemblance, it means identical in nature and consciousness.
That corrupted in the garden of Eden, Christ’s incarnation in us became necessary to restore our original design. Through our continuing acceptance and internalisation of the picture of what we ought to be, as revealed in the written WORD we are constantly and continuously coming close to our God-identity. And God is translated “Love” in earthly human experience.
So if your Christianity, your revelations, your whatever-you-can-think-of under Christ is not generating the desire or attitude of love towards God and others, if it is not making love felt by those who encounter you in life, please you have the wrong thing, drop it and get the real thing fast.
O LORD COME SOON.
