From 1 Timothy 1:5-7

Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm. (I Timothy 1:5-7 NKJV)

We speak of what we know… Dear preacher, teacher and speaker, all of you who communicate the treasures of Christ to the reconciled, hear me, I beg you; keep to the simplicity of the Word, be true to the purpose of the revealed Word, which is genuine and authentic love, which comes from righteous thoughts and positive feelings, from a heart that is capable of judging rightly the reputation of every thought, word and action of man in the sight of God, and from faith that is not an act but real.

Be careful not to aim the scriptures at any other thing that isn’t about love. Do not swing the scriptures if you do not intend to hit love. The more the scriptures are preached or taught, the more love should be felt among men. That is the summary. Measure the success of your ministry by that and Judge its effectiveness by that and you will do exploits.

Those leaders who miss this mark end up turning the people of God against themselves and against society, making them the problem instead of the solution, denying them the confidence to exercise the power and authority they have been reborn with. All good, positive and constructive actions are built on the foundation of love.

Don’t compete with philosophers and free-thinkers, don’t try to rub shoulders with new age teachers who keep generating more complex questions about life without answering any, and MOST OF ALL, DO NOT GENERATE, WHETHER BY REVELATION OR BY INTUITION WHAT SEEMS LIKE A STRUCTURED APPROACH TO THE CHRISTIAN LIFE OR A SET OF CODES TO BE REHEARSED.
Your job my dear friends and colleagues, is to activate and draw out what’s already inside them not to create a road for them. Put them in touch with the fountain of living water that came into them at new-birth and help them channel the streams out of their bellies and into life.
O LORD COME SOON.
